I need some ideas for stacking 3 amps together in my '02 X30. I have a Kicker KX850.4, KX650.4 and KX600.1. I would like to build a rack that mounts all 3 amps to the right inside wall in the storage area behind teh observers area.

If you have done something like this, please post a picture.

Agg, we have to go out before the season's over!! I have to see this boat haha!!

We've been riding with the wakeboard team a little, and I love it! All of the guys are really chill, and can really throw down!!

Maybe we can get a final run of the season in sometime in early November??

I don't have any pics, but just have one JLAudio 6450 amp, , 6 JLAud speakers/w sep tweeter, 1 JL Sub, and 4 JL Audio tower speakers.
To me this system is awesome. PUt a meter on it standing in the middle of the cockpit and get 117 db. Running dual batteries too.
I am not " electronic literate"
What exactly does 1 or 2 more amps do ?
I have always wondered that ?

Usually to more efficiently power more speakers. Technically with the low resistance your amp is likely seeing it is putting out more current. The downside being a lot more heat is generated, and wear and tear accelerated on the amp. Plus if the tower speakers are from MC you should have another JL amp (an M2150 i believe). I would suggest looking in to another amp RK.

Skeeler -

That is certain close to what I am looking at doing. Do you have any other pictures showing more details of the rack? Did you make it out of wood or aluminum? It looks like wood that was then covered with carpet.

Nice job!!!

Sorry, that is the only shot I got. it was made out of wood, then wrapped in carpet. Basically, a back, and then three angled triangles with a mounting surface on them. Pretty easy!

Where are you all getting the carpet to cover the racks? MC or aftermarket?

Very impressive. I have a Prostar 209 with the stock Clarion unit. I have the MC tower and am looking at adding speakers to the tower. I don't currently have anything on the tower. See picture. What would you suggest in the way of speakers (brand, etc.), and I'm assuming I would need an amp to power these. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I would like to have lights incorporated into the set-up. I just haven't seen a setup that would give me an idea of what it would look like. Our local MC dealer has quoted me what seems like an outrageous price on MC speakers. Just wanted to see what setup others have done.
