wiley`s pro shop in trenton washington is selling some new HO cdx skis with double animal boots for $550 is this a good price for this ski? Iam looking to upgrade from my old `93 ho svt.rear toe plate. some info, iam 44 5`10" 190lbs. my trusty old ski gets me to 32-35 off at 34mph, was skiing 36mph until last year. Iam not looking to improve my ball count I just ski for fun now and want to relax, btw my ski is 67" and thinking of getting a 69" or 70" ski.

P.S. I don`t post often, but get great knowage in reading all the threads, great site, and thanks in advance.

CDX is a great ski, but I don't think that is a good deal with double Wileys b/c you can get a newer ski, with newer technology for cheaper. I got my System 8 with double animals for $450 from Adrenaline Watersports, in the same town as Wileys.

I love my cousins 67" CDX, I liked my "70 Truth better and so far I like my 68" System 8 the best. If you're still skiing at 32 MPH or higher, a 68" should be fine. I'm 10 lbs heavier than you. Most on here will probably steer you towards the Monza, which I would if you ski a lot of glass!!

yea i was allso thinking of the system 8, I just wasn`t sure if $550 was to much for that ski. Skied on a demo monza got 5balls 35off at 36mph that ski was a rocket and allways wanted to be on edge, I need something more tame.

System 8 has the same design as the Monza, just different materials (heavier) so it likes to be on edge, too!!

This implies that the Monza was designed for more speed than what is required for 35' off at 36 MPH. I dont see how this could be possible.  Are you serious?
