First post here, but not new to boards.

Although I am not a MC owner YET (have an '06 brand X(T, actually) machine currently), I am in the market to trade for a new boat, and the X45 is on my very short list, but I would like more info on the new X-35. Sounds like a great machine if the seating is good and a big block is an option.

Thanks

This is all I can find for now, but I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!! Everything I've heard about the 35 sounds great, and I always was a fan of the 30!

I from western Kansas. If you know the area you may be wondering why I want a boat?! ;)
I do find myself asking about trailers first, then the boat. We have a small lake about an hour and a half from us, so it's really not that bad.

Anyone have interior pics??

Looks alot like an X-star (I assume about 1 foot longer?) Does it have the same bow (superfly) as the X-star? Looks nice.

I called my dealer about it....everyone's at a meeting of course!

Hopefully someone will post some info about the new boat and specs, availability, etc.

I'm really hoping they handle well, especially with a 8.1 motor, if offered.

I'm hoping to make a deal with a dealer to take my trade now, show the new boat during show season, and take delivery next spring. That should be worth something to a dealer, right? I would think so.

neat features in the seating...I wonder what other features in has. Looks like lots of storage.

Proving once again, that Mastercraft knows how to design GREAT interiors!

Sweet boat!

That is very sweet! Thanks for the pics, I hope there are more coming soon!
I notice it has "235" embroidered on the seat, I wonder if the X35 interior will differ from the Maristar.

Whats that rail configuration behind the driver seat????

jkski
09-26-2007, 01:52 PM
It's a small sink and refrigerator.
The seating is great throughout the boat with a ton of storage space, similar to the X45/245. If you look closely in those pics you'll see another great thought on the part of MC.... a step/seat on the transom that goes all the way across.
The front/passenger seat has got to be one of the best things going, in that you can choose to face forward or back and the change is simple to make.
Way to go AGAIN MC.

How about Cobalts already did the duel facing seat idea 2 years ago, with few moving parts. ;)

I actually like the old X-30 seating better. That was one of the bigger reasons I chose it over a cobalt model.

Yep agree with the seating in the X-30 better. That pointed bar on the edge of the passenger seat looks like a huge bruise maker. It also looks like a lot of storage is missing compared with the traditional passenger seat that lifts up to storage that runs from bow to stern.

Maristar interiors are the same configuration, but maybe some different trim colors or material.

The X14 has 214 embroidered on the passenger seat too.

Yea, cuz there are almost no other differences between it and Cobalt;)

Anyone know why there's no stepped hull?

RK@UST

OK , here is a stupid question
What exactly is the "stepped" hull desinged for ?

The stepped hull creates an area for air to get under the boat thus reducing the friction between the water and the hull of the boat. Less drag = faster boat.

Sweet looking boat. Hey jkski, how soon will The Boat House have an X-35 in stock?

For this boat , I want the seating, not the refrigerator or any thing else, but seating . Did I say I want seating ?
Mistake in my opinion.
The reversable observer seat is kind of cool.

The observer seat looks cobbled together to me. The idea is good but from the pictures the execution sucks. What's with the little square seat not being level with the rest of the bench? Is there a porta-jon under there or something. Why not make it like the X80.

Diesel-The seat will line up with the rest of the cushions. This was an early set-up. The boat is very nice in person. The convertible seat is easy to move around. The rear seat on the transom is amazing. The bow is awesome-it has molded foam for forward or rear seating and the seat backs hinge out instead of lift up. The boat is absolutely amazing in person.

if you go to www.waterskiis.com they have interior pics on the new inventory list. Yes, it does have the superfly front end and looks like it is going to be a 23 1/2' boat. What is this remark about the x-30 being fazed out?

How about giving us a more direct link to the interior shots at Midwest Mastercraft, please. That links runs you around in circles to nowhere!

Go for the X45. Tons of seating. I've had 19 people in my boat with no problem

The X-35 is radically different than the X-30 and X-45, this boat is going to be much more "big water" friendly than any previous MasterCraft. Overall there is more deadrise and much more freeboard on this boat. I think of the X-35 as a day cruiser that just happens to be an awesome wakeboard boat.

The ability to flip the observers seat to face forward is going to be huge, as a sales guy I can't tell you how many sales are lost because the ladies want to sit facing forwards like in a runabout. That combined with the sink, garbage storage (under sink in absence of fridge) and other amenities are going to make this boat very comfortable to spend all day on.

As soon as the lakes thaw ours is getting prepped and put in Minnetonka. Personally I think this is going to rapidly become known as the best surf boat in the lineup and I plan on doing a ton of "testing" this spring.

Has anyone gotten a pull behind this? What's the wake like? I've heard the surf wake is supposed to be good.... What about the wakeboard wake?

JoshBuzz
02-11-2008, 01:50 PM
It's the same hull as the CSX 220, which is a modified X-Star hull, corey correct me if I'm wrong on those facts, but the wake is supposed to be phenomenal!!

people have made deposits, but no one has taken shipment of one yet, they are still coming off the factory. Texas MC had there first one at the boat show, but it was still prototype, and things were still changing!

We sold and delivered the boat from the Charlotte show...also took orders for 5 more and counting.

It is not a CSX hull nor is it a copy! Some of the ideas learned from the CSX were utilized in this new boat...i.e. deadrise. Should be the best surf boat we make and the wakeboard wake will be excellent as well, especially for the average everyday guy that doesnt want to ride around with 2000lbs of extra ballast in his boat.

At the Charlotte show many customers moved out of their 45's for this new boat.

Someone needs to call Texas MC and tell them about the 35 then!! They were telling everyone it was the CSX hull which didn't make sense to me because is it not in between the two CSX sizes?? The 220 is more like an X-Star size, and the 265 is the size of an X-80 because they didn't count the size of the platform in the measurement of the 265 and they did in the 80!!

Brian Sasser, get your facts straight!!

:D
