Hi all you detailling maniacs.

I just took my 1998 PS190 in my garage for winter prep.

My rubrail is made of 2 parts a more plastic holder fixed to the hull, and a more rubberized insert.

The plastic holder is gray now I tried acetone, rubbing compound, 303, nothing seems to get it back to black.

Any ideas other then replacement ???

As for the webbing it is localised around the u-bolts on the transom the previous owner tied it down using them the got loose and that what probably caused them to leave small craks in the gelcoat.

I managed to reduce considerably the look of the damage with rubbing compound polishing compound + glaze & wax, but it comes back up the next season as soon as the transom is hit by the sun.

Your tips are much welcomed..

Somewhere this thread was posted in TT a couple weeks back, but I could not find it, but there were several answers to it.

Unless this is it and that's all I got!http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showpost.php?p=407625&postcount=366

Try Mothers Back to Black on your rubrail.
