Clarion Transom Remote

How many of you have the Clarion wired remote installed on or near the transom area of your swim platform?
I opted not to add that to my order because my salesman said they've been having lots of problems with them.
Anyone here having trouble with theirs?

1 1/2 years of heavy use, including teenagers :eek: , mounted by the throttle, no problems.

i have had mine for about 2 seasons-love it!!!!!! no problems. i have the older one without the led readout. i wish i could tell what the station was on from the back of the boat. but, if that's my worst problem, things are pretty dang good! mine is under the rub rail which keeps it from getting stepped on.
