The cop skipped a few steps in the force continuum. Bad form. That kind of violation would get him "counselled" around here. I consider that abuse of police power.

Yeah, but you could also say that the cop doesn't know what the guy has in his pants, and the guy could have been going for a weapon. He did warn the guy a couple of times, and spray is now considered a very low level of force around here.

didn't realize that was the name of the steps, but I did find this

is it different that what you're accustomed to?

is it different that what you're accustomed to?Yeh. Usually, the force continuum places chemical irritants above physical compliance techniques and just below electrical devices and batons. The guy wasn't physically threatening, nor abusive. No attempt at wrist lock or takedown was made before spraying the guy. It would make me wonder what that officer would do to me if I had trouble finding my driver's license on a traffic stop.

Just don't say you have to pee and pull out your willy. That seems to be the cops trigger.

This is priceless, who cares if it is photoshoped or whatever...

True story here in East of Westfield, last summer a guy got busted for driving his rider on a sidewalk while drinking a cold one...some cops have no sense of humor...

funny you should mention that.......

went through a road block (sobriety check-point) the other night.....

first thing I did was turn on the interior lights of the suburban, so the officer could see through the tinted windows.

then I told the officer every move I was going to make.

1) un-snap my MagLight out of it's charger.
2) reach into glove compartment
3) look into console, ( I requested he look first)
etc........

needless to say, I didn't find my insurance verification:(
the one I had expired two months ago

there were probably 30 officers, so I wanted to make sure my intentions were clear!
