for my 06 x-1. Id like something high quality that wont mold or deteriorate in 2 years like the one that the boat came with.

like mine? http://flickr.com/photos/andrewmdavis

I added on to the existing cover. Doesn't seem low quality like it will deteriorate in 2 years.

You need a gutter on that porch otherwise the underneath side will get ruined. I had something similar and I did two things, get a bigger skirt board that will hang down about 3/4" - 1" past the underside of the deck. That way water will drip from that and I got gutters. Here are a couple photo's of my deck while still under construction.

end threadjack.

Rankin is another very good option. The skirts are removable and the cover is great for towing. I trailered my boat 2500 miles this year with the cover on.

I second them! Had one for my 1996 and loved it.

Skiboatcovers.com they are the best. I have an odd ball boat - 2002 X30 with a 2005 Tower. So they had to lay the pattern for the 2002 X30 over the 2005 X30 to get the holes in the right positions for the tower legs. I came out great and protects my red metal flake from the sun and the winter elements. My boat sits on its boat lift year round.

skiboatcovers.com for me also - just got mine this spring past (based on recommendations from others on TMC). Below is a set of pictures of cover with skirts up and again with skirts down.
