Good looking boat. Just wondering what kind of wakes it has....

Very good wakes from those I've spoken with about it.

Here's some good reading on the subject.

it was the X5 as well, spent some time in one - the predecessor to the 197 and the X7. decent boarding wake with ballasts and not bad for slalom. the 197 seems to sit lower in the water and has a smaller and softer wake. good boats, but not a lot of room in the bow.

It's a 1995--1997 Pro Star 190 with a cut out for the bow. Below the water line, the hulls are identical. The wake may be slightly different due to the weight of the bow seating.

To answer the question at hand YES the Prostar 195 was AWSA approved 00-01 As Doug said same hull as the 95-97 Prostar except with a hole in the bow. For future reference here is the list of AWSA Approved History (http://www.usawaterski.org/graphics/downloads/ApprovedHistory83-06.pdf)

ET,

The info in the link you posted filled a gap in my Mastercraft PS 190 History knowledge. I didn't fully realize that in 1999 Mastercraft brought back the 95-97 hull for the Prostar closed bow series. i thought the 1998 Hull was carried until through 1999.

Makes sense......

That is incorrect. The Prostar boats were on the same troubled hull 98-00. In mid year '98 MC broght back the 95-97 (old Prostar) hull as the price point Sportstar.

jsut looked at the list of approved baots. What a joke, everything is approved. Moomba boomerang is approved! awasa approval now means nothing to me. Like the hiesman after Gino torretta won it.

Not anymore. Some people don't even bother sending boats anymore, just too expensive apparently. Some engine transmission combos aren't submitted. Slalom just isn't what it used to be with relation to the bottom line.
