I need to install my new snap-on cover on my boat. Anybody have any tips for drilling/installing the snaps...should I put anything behind the snap such as a wood block or silicone in the hole.

Thanks!
Doug

Drill the hole and the use a countersink bit and widen the hole through the gelcoat (this will prevent spider cracking). Also, I would use 4200 to seal the snaps.
