no rubber.

couldnt agree more, and even if you do toe, you can still do it with the hard edge. Also you can look into GOODMAN tricks. I have personally never riden one but a guy on our team swears up and down by them. About 10/12 riders have D3 CX and it is about half and half on rubber vs hardshells.

hence alot.
The only people I see with rubber edges have two skis, so they have one for both.

I see that the D3's don't have any rear inserts... so do you just drill to mount the rear toe plate?
also how is the Quantum trick ski?

quantum is a good ski too.
Don't hear about it as often because it is the only ski made by them, D3 makes 3 event skis.
There are alot of skis out there, reflex, quantum, D3, Goodman, Still see an occasional Carbonworx although the company is defunct. I've tried the D3 and loved it, if I had more budget I would purchase it directly. As is I have an old obrien. ha ha.
Most trick skis don't have rear inserts, people place the bindings in so many different angles and distances that its just better to have them mount their own.
