I know it's not winter yet, hopefully I have at least another month or soon the water, but I just wanted to get started thinking of some winter projects I would like to tackle.
First off is the old heater project. I know a lot of you have installed those in the past. I was just wondering how difficult the project really was. Doesn't look to bad. Also, I was leaning towards the 3 port Heatercraft heater. Is this one I should go with?

.
Last but not least, I was thinking about installing some docking lights in the bow like the ones below. Anyone ever done anything like that? I don't like tower lights, since they really just light up the interior and make it hard to see. I thought these would be cool and different. Any hints on cutting thru the hull? Thanks guys!!

man skeeler you just totally depressed me. I hopefully have another 4-6 weeks on the water :)

but since you brought it up....

Definite: automatic ballast system to fill all my new pro-x sacs :)
Maybe: Heatercraft heater; 3 port

I like what I've read about the heatercrafts. That's what everyone seems to use and it looks like they have worked past the heater core leaking issue they had a few years ago.

Skeeler- Have you checked to see if those docking lights will fit a X2?

Yes and no. I have researched a few models, but I haven't ripped into to it see my max depth and fit. I just thought it would be kind of cool to have something that no one else had on an MC.

the docking light issue is awesome.
I have tower lights and they are no where near as functional as what the ones you have listed.
I have had those and they work great. They were on a different kind of boat. Plus , they are the best looking docking lights I have seen.
Extremely clean. If you put them in , make sure MC see's them. Good idea.

Stringers, floor, engine rebuild, trans rebuild, redo interior (seats and carpet), wet sand and buff hull, repair trailer fiberglass, strip and repaint trailer. Shouldn't take that long, lol.

Adding another amp (Kicker KX650.4) and replacing my tower speakers with either a pair of Wetsounds 485s or the HSE box.

Anyone have a suggestion of which way to go on the tower speakers??

Find out why 2 of the 6 tower speakers aren't working. Then quit my job and concentrate on becoming a pro footer.

how much was the heater?

What kind of vent config did you order? I was thinking about 2 tubes and 1 euro vent.
