My trailer needs work. There are several things about my trailer that I am not happy with, including the following:

- Lug bolts on one side, nuts on the other
- Different size bearing buddy's
- "marginal" bearing buddy on one side
- 1/4" spacer behind each wheel that is not hubcentric (self-centering)

So, before our trip to Clearlake last week, I bought two new sets of bearing buddy's and repacked everything. The bearings on the left side are O.K., but the bearings on the right sounded real bad when I got home.

So now, I need to do some trailer repair, and would like your thoughts.

As I see it, I have two choices:

1) Buy a complete axle assembly with oil-bath hubs, or

2) Buy new hub assemblies with oil bath hubs and replace just the hubs.

Thoughts? Ideas of where I can buy the parts? Should I just go to my local boat shop or trailer shop?

I have always found Jeff at Trailers by Dorsey (www.trailersbydorsey.com) to be very helpful when sourcing parts for my MC trailer.

If you are up in Nor Cal, hit up DHM. (http://www.dhmtrailers.com/) They are in Sac. and have EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Plus, they are only about an 1 1/2 from Petaluma, so you could drive over and not have to pay for shipping! Good Luck!

Thanks, Sodar. My wife goes up to Sac pretty often for work (although that's probably going to end soon :o ). Maybe I'll have her pick up a set of hubs or complete axle assembly for me...
