Rick, Ben and I went out in the boat this evening and we had such a good time. Ben was working on improving barefoot and other skills and I was having a great time taking pictures. I hope you enjoy our family outing.

Sue as always it's a treat to see your work!
If you're ever in the DFW area and have your camera, maybe you could give my daughter a few pointers on getting the shot before the crash, she seems to only key in on the wrecks...........
Please keep 'em coming!

By the way the old Chris Craft in a couple of the pictures is one that my nephew and one of his friends bought together and are restoring it.

Until I saw that this sequence ended like this. I remember the bumps and bruises of new tricks and this made me grin

What interval is that snapping pictures. The fact that you have him just touching the water on the one photo and you have 2 more of the wipe out, which takes a second to happen, is impressive. Keep up the great work with the camera and tell your son to keep up with the footin. If you are not wiping out your not trying hard enough!

I can get 3 shots per second.
Don't worry about us giving up; we'll keep on keeping on. Ben has the same stubborn personality as his mother... we don't quit.
Anyone who saw us must have thought we were an odd sight. Rick is a good and very focused driver. I trust him fully as I'm riding backwards pretty much hanging over the side of the boat taking pictures. I had my backpack with my oxygen on the floor and looped around my leg so it wouldn't go bouncing away. I didn't have a bandana on my head even though it's bald because at barefoot speeds a bandana would just go flying off anyhow. As you can see from the expressions on his face, Ben was completely focused and working hard.
I think he was footing for 35 to 40 minutes straight. While I'm always working to improve my pictures, I'm addicted to action photography. I'm taking pictures of my kid beating himself up on the water. Strange mom, huh? But he was loving it!
Here's one more picture from last night. Look how glassy the water was. We were loving it!

Very cool pics Sue. I got on the boom last weekend for some work.....Yes it was work. I am not really in skiing condition right now (a lot of travelling and not much skiing), but the boom really makes footin so much easier. No pics though. My wife was driving, and I don't quite trust my 3 & 5 year olds with the camera yet!

Well, to capture his heels just touching the water, and the skies just behind him, is an awsome shot. If that was me, that would be my computer background or a poster on my wall. Keep up the great work.
You should have him take your picture, trying to take his pic, with a waterproof camera. Sounds like it could be an entertaining shot ;)
