View Full Version : X-2 and X-STAR
My English is unskilled. I'm sorry.
I think that x-2 and x-star are very good boats.
x-star is big on a Japanese road.
There are few people pulling a boat like USA by car in Japan.
However, I pull it like USA by car.
Therefore x-2 considers me to be good to purchase it.
If x-star is more better for wakeboard than x-2, x-star becomes a candidate.
I want to use a boat to purchase this time for a long term.
Is size of x-star a branch width of a boat in tournaments in future?
How do all of you think?
I ask for advice.
The price difference between x-2 and x-star in Japan is $13,000.
My car is F-150 4×4.
Thank you.

Masa; Welcome to the board. No problem, your English is very good.
Both boats are world class for wakeboarding and I think the main difference is the X-Star is newer and bigger. If you need bigger size go with the X-Star. X-2 will certainly be easier to move around Japan, but the F-150 is also pretty big. Keep checking you will get advise from many more people.
You have a great pull vehicle, either boat will be great for wakeboarding. Good Luck and keep us informed. We always love pictures on here.

Welcome Masa :wavey: Your English, and your typing, is much better than some people here from the USA :purplaugh The X-Star is definately better for wakeboarding :worthy: I think of the other X series as more crossover boats.........no ballast= great ski boat, load them up with ballast= great wakeboarding boat. I would think the wake on the X-Star would be difficult for pure skiing.

I have an X2 and love it. World class wakeboard wake and very good ski wake. I also wanted a boat that fit in my garage. However, if money were no object the X-Star is the way to go.

Hi,
I would say it depends on how much room you need, and how good your wakeboarding skill level is. Either boat would be very good.
If you are very good wakeboarding, then you might want to go with the x-star because the wake size is gigantic.
Good Luck, and welcome to the board.

My question is, what motor does that F-150 have in it?? 5.4 V8, 4.6 V8, or 4.0 V6. And the rear end gears can make all the difference for pulling. And what year model is the truck? The 5.4 upped HP in 04' from 267 to 300. I have two 04's, one with 3.73 gears and one with 3.55 gears and it is not even close. The 3.73 gears are pulling gears and the 3.55's are highway gears. Is the truck just a 4x4 or an FX4, because the FX4 should have 3.73 gears and the big cooling system for towing. You could run into a problem if you have the smaller motors, with the X-star? :twocents:
Masa...Welcome!
Both boats are great. However, very different. I think Brad's thread pretty much sum's it up. I think your F-150 is going to be challenged pulling an X star especially if your gonna be taking on any big hills. Just drop another $30,000 on a F-250 and you'll be fine.

Welcome. Brad is right on about the gears. 3.73 will tow well and with the 5.4L engine, no problem. However, a 5.4L will get the job done even with the 3.55. My expedition has the 5.4L with a 3.33 and, believe it or not, it does fine and I've had no problems (hills or not). Highly recommend a good transmission cooler no matter what.

I think its great that people in other countries use this site as well. Its crazy, since I work for a global internet company (and because of the internet), the world is becoming such a smaller place. Welcome to the board.

That little resturant at orwood has a great breakfast. When I was living there, we used to go in the boat every sunday for breakfast.

I haven't eaten there yet, however they do look like they have a pretty nice bar. :toast:
Thank you for everybody.
Because I purchased what X-STAR can pull when I purchase F150 in a condition, I am all right.
The boat is very expensive in Japan.
X-STAR selects the trailer and the option and is this price.
X-STAR JAPAN PRICE $100,000
210SAN selects the trailer and the option and is this price.
210SAN JAPAN PRICE $100,000
It is the same price case.
How much is it in USA?
I ask. Please teach it.
What do you think of the price of this Japan?

I have an X-2 and love it. I hope to upgrade to the new X-Star next year. We generally have a few families with us each time out and the X-2 gets a little crowded. I will ultimately decide between the X-Star and the X-45.

Masa, Welcome to the Mastercraft Family. :) This world is not as big as we all think!!!!! To COOL :toast:
Do I hear what I must not hear here?
I am not good at English.
Therefore, the price of the USA dealer cannot be retrieved.
Are MSRP and the dealer price different?
How much is the price that you buy usually?
Do you discount it?
Which of SAN210TEAM and X-STAR is expensive when I purchase it in USA?

Thanks Dougy! but it's probably a more accurate depiction if I were around the tiddly winks table, sipping on a vintage Tickle Pink, wearing a wife beater!!!!
I could type it in Japanese if I could figure out how to make the IME work. I sort of deleted it when the egg donor got cut from the team.

Don't worry, it was still quite impressive. Just remember to wear the gun bra with the PPK in it with your wife beater and you'll be fine.
