Tomorrow were going to spend the day checking out muscle cars here in Grand Rapids. There are supposed to be about 10,000 special cars to view with different events at different places. In the evening they will cruise up and down 28th street. I'm going to be there with my camera taking pictures.

If there is a cool looking purple car it will for sure get the attention of my camera 'cuz I love purple! :D

Here is a link for the event.

I would like to see a close up pic of a water pump on one of the classic VW beetles if you can.

(Just kidding)

In all seriousness, post em in the musclecar thread....:D

The reason I made that statement, my niece's husband runs a radiator shop and sponsors a VW Beetle for a fellow that works for him. He runs it in the NASCAR Buzz Bomber Division (4 cyl./econo division)@ Bowman Gray Stadium here in Winston Salem. He won the division championship 3 out of 4 years with the VW, then went to a 4 cyl. Mustang and failed miserably, mostly because of overheating problems that they can't figure out!:uglyhamme

Here is a link (http://picasaweb.google.com/Sue.DeVries/200728thMetroCruise82507)to the pictures I took. I din't last very long at this event. The exhaust fumes from the cars were not kind to my lungs and I felt SICK!

I had to go home and I was weak and worthless for the rest of the day. My oxygen level dropped way to low. I'm not going to try going to something like that again for a long time. :(
