Nice choice of aircraft! You could then put some of those speaker cans that look like missiles on your t top!

Have you checked with Midwest MC to see who they would use?

drbesvold1

BigMac on this board uses a MC Dealer up near Brainerd, maybe he can help with a suggestion - I am sure this is not something the dealer would do at thier shop. You may want to find someone that does gel coat repair and they would most likely be able to do a paint job. Sorry I can't be of any more help. I agree $5000 sounds expensive.

Contact Jeremy79 from the board. He's down in Kentucky but has owned a paint and body shop in the past and does IMMACULATE work on boats (I've seen his 79 he painted) If he wanted to do the job he could do it, if not he might know who to refer you too.,

Are we talking paint, or re-gelcoat? If paint, I would think any custom body shop could do it. No need for a boat specialist. Custom painting over gelcoat...I don't know...it certainly would be higher maintenance than gelcoat and have less longevity.

F-14s make movies

F-15s make history (the picture you posted is an F-15C)

Are those the factory colors or has someone already painted the boat?

It looks like it's got a pretty decent shine, maybe it just needs a good cleaning up?

Anyway welcome to the board and thank you for your service!

Drbesvold1; Just get a picture of Farmer Ted's boat and paint it like it with the mural on the front of the fighter jet. I cannot think of a better combination.

No help on the painting issue, just wanted to say hi to a fellow Minnesotan with a '89 190 and a Safe T Top! I do like the color of yours. I doubt that it is original, or if it was, it was a custom order.
Good luck!

ALL in heavy metal flake. :) that would be cool but alot of the ppl on here are telling me just to use touch up paint to fix all the scratches plus changing all the colors would be very pricy
