View Full Version : Throttle Adjustment on 2005 Maristar

Can anybody tell me if there is a way to adjust the throttle on my 2005 Maristar? It has the MCX engine. When I put it into gear it moves forward with very little friction. When I am at cruising speed and hitting waves it wants to keep going wide open. Any help would be great.

I have a 2005 X-2 and I had the same problem. Unscrew the small phillips head screw on the throttle and remove the small round plastic "button." Use an allen wrench to remove the throttle/ring assembly. Once you have the throttle removed, you will notice a small allen screw on the side. This is the throttle friction adjustment. Tighten it, then replace the throttle and the plastic button.
