Just covered up our new '08 X2 with the MC cover- Pro Tournament Team. It fits great over the pole system- nice and tight, BUT, around the tower holes (4) some water does get in. Rain both falls directly in the space between the cover and the tower, and also runs down the cover and in the holes into the boat. Finds it way onto the carpet under the seats- not great. Not a lot of water, but I would rather not have any. Any suggestions?

Buy the boat a garage

That will happen over the winter- but I need a clever short term solution.

Big garbage bags and duct tape installed as flashing under the cover around the tower bases while the cover is on only.

Our 07 X-1 cover does the same thing. There should be sleeves that kinda go up and around the poles atleast in the back i think. See if they are folded under the rest of the cover or out. The only other thing that you might want to try is adding some black fabric to the side and make it go up the tower leg farther and then maybe put velcrow around to make it tight. Just a thought.

Thats a good thought. Take it to a upolstery shop and modify it with a boot with velcro at the top. Most of the water coes in from the boat side, so it could have a slit at the same place where the current velcro is.

That's what it needs, the existing boot just doesn't go up high enough and has no way of being tightly secured to the tower poles, either by velcro or some elastic. Thanks for the suggestion.
