I've had this pic for a while, not sure where I got it. I recall it had solar powered fans to dry out the boat, and the guy routed the x into the swim platform. Pretty cool ideas.

Somebody beat me to it!!
I have been looking for a solar panel and small fan to try the same thing.
This set up is even better as its built into the cover.
My plan was to simply set the solar cell on the platformand run a wire into a fan that would set on or near the back seat. Then maybe a vent hose under the cover out the back.
Nice idea on the platform.

I'm amazed how close he parked the boat to that retaining wall...

Looks like that boat is located in the UK. With the limited sunshine, no doubt he needs those fans to dry it out. Nice ideas.

Looks like the guide post may even be touching the wall.

Nice touch on the swimstep!
In my experience, the fans are overkill though. I lived in Seattle for over 20 years. Maybe you haven't heard...... it rains occasionally there. Thru the years I've had 5 boats, 2 MCs. All you need is a good Sunbrella cover, a couple of Dry-Z-Air dehumidifiers & maybe a fan like this one from West Marine (http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=21504) .

That's nothing. I have about the same amount of space on both sides of my trailer getting to it's storage spot. I buy side marker lights in bulk because I tend to knock a few off every year.
For $30 I'll get one of those solar powered fans. I like the idea that it stays in the cover and I don't need to run a power cord to it. I have a nice cover, but a little air movement certainly can't hurt.

I like the idea of a fan like this and will also try one, although I am not crazy about cutting a 3 in. hole in my cover.
I tend to push my skiing weekends as well as weekday to the max and end up pulling the boat with just enough time to wipe it down and cover it. Unfortunately the carpet is usually still wet. It is unattended until next trip to camp. I don’t like the idea of having a 110 volt fan in there and a 12 volt fan would drain the battery. This looks like almost the perfect solution.

Hehe, don't like a 110 volt fan inside but willing to risk a 12 volt fan outside? The first time it rains with that hooked up, it's going to be fun. Enjoy.
