Hi, one month ago i sold my 88" 190 Pro Star, only a week later i bought a Maristar 240SC. This is a HUGE boat compared to the old one. The 240SC needs alot of fixing. Needs new interior, all new elektrical work and the engine needs some fixing. The last 3weeks i have made a new dash with new gages, i did all of the elektrical work on the engine and dash. I also removed all the interior so that it can be re-opholstered. The winter in Norway is long so im planning on having a beauty to lanch next spring:)
If anyone has a Mastercraft Heater, and has some info on it i would be thankful. My boat has one but its not connected??http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a263/wakelake/DSC00571.jpg

WOW, NICE JOB!

The upholstery and guages look great! Glad to see you chose Gaffrig guages, by far the best there is!

What engine does she have? My guess is a 454/330 horsepower. Did MC use a powerslot trans in those (1.5-1 ratio) or a straight 1-1 ratio?

That looks like a great wakeboard machine! Best of luck with her!

How did you make the gauge backings for the dash? I needing to redo mine and really like what you did. Do you have a write up on it with step by steps on here?

That is one boat I wouldn't mind having. The wife will have no part of it though since her spot on the boat is in the bow, and you can't get any sun in that bow.

njskier;
Its the 351 indmar engine 285hp with the 1,5-1 ratio. Runs a 14x18 inch 3 blade prop. Great holeshot, only run 40mph max.

rholms;
The dash inserts are made of 2mm aluminium plate. Covered the aluminium with tape, then layed the old plates on and drew off. Then used a electrik saw to shape the aluminium plates. Look quite good:-)

djhuff;
Actually also see that problem now, im having a cushion made to fit the bow. Its roomy on there, it should be space enough for 2 people.

All you have to tell her is what she can get in that bow ;)

Got our new ones from this guy on ebay. Nice quality and he lets you change up sizes- so you can fit that behemouth of a gunwale. He can make all the different era of logos, and he is prices are reasonable. Shipped in a box so there is no way they can be damage (within reason).

Congrats on the boat. I have 90 maristar 240 (open bow) with 454. A great looking boat but a lot to handle. I had to learn about the boat and, for ex., watch pulling from the pier with the chrome connected to the swim platform. Difficult to remove the platform due to method of connection of chrome to it, for cleaning and repair. I have more info if you want. There's one of yours on Lake Anna, here in central VA. I'm looking for the front plexiglass cover on the optional storage box mounted starboard side next to motor box. Walt M.

MS240, the plexiglass cover is actually a factory installed cooler (just in case you didn't know). There is a pretty lengthy thread on here about someone who redid the interior of their 240 and they have great pictures of their cooler.

The boat looks great and wish mine looked half as yours. I've got the open bow version w/454, 1:1 tranny and 4 blade prop but my top end is only 44 mph. Of course, with such an awesome looking boat, you want to go slow enough for folks to see it and appreciate it. (Plus, the price of gas.) Assume since you did so much great work on it that you experienced the time consuming process of removing the swim platform. If still seeking a heater, there's a website here in USA for inboards that has two versions. Very interesting slip arrangement; something I haven't seen before.

Hei du!

Fin båt! Er veldig interressert i en lignende båt. Hvordan er bølgen etter denne? Er det mulig å få tatt en titt på denne båten en dag? Bare veldig nyskjerrig.. :-)

Now that is funny Harold!

With that said, I believe that is Norsk. Karsken's profile says he is in Norway and I assume this is a fellow countryman giving him props in his native tounge.

Eddie...no, he didn't say: "hey ya'll watch this here sh)it."8p

That is Norweigen. The dude is Saying,

"Hey you!

Nice boat! Is very interested in a similar boat. How is the wave after that? Is it possible to have taken a look at this boat one day? Just very curious .."
