iPhone + Clarion Ipod Interface

Does anyone know if the iPhone will work with the Clarion Ipod Interface module for the CMD4 (2006 X2)?

I would like to use the iPhone just like an iPod on the boat with the remote control features offered today, anyone know if this is possible. I know some "third party" iPod interfaces do not talk well to the iPhone.

Bump.....I dont know for sure but I would bet the IPOD part of the IPHONE would be the same technology. I think the CMD4 will not show the artist and title and seems like you cannot control from the driver remote.
