As for comparisons to the X5, I would say that the RC is not as stable, rides higher, is quicker out of the buoy and carries off the 2nd wake better. The RC does not turn as consistently as the X5 and is more susceptible to upper body movements. The X5 allows for more skier error when it comes to technique. Nevertheless, for shortline slalom, the RC is a good choice. It is MUCH better than last year's Nomad
