I have a 2001 prostar 190,, which comes from the factory with a 4 blade 13x13 prop,, this weekend I tried a OJ 13x13 3 blade on it,, and was surprised at the difference in the wake at 22 and 28 off, wider and softer, with out the rooster tail... I did notice a bit of a slower pull up,,, Acme suggests a 13x12, 3 blade,, I think because there props have more surface area than the OJ and the local dealer says it gives a little bit better whole shot,,, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these differnet 3 blades,,, if the diference in the pitch, 13 versus 12 would effect the wake much.. I'm seriously considering a 3 blade for my boat since 22 and 28 off is were I do most of my skiing,,,, Thanks for any input...............

I've done a comparison of the Acme 13x12 with the OJ XMP 13x12 that may be helpful to you.
Here's the link (http://www.bhammonster.com/shoot-out.htm).

A pal of mine and I just tried 3 ACME props against the OJ 4Force. Results were surprising. We did this on 2 boats. On his boat, a 1991 ProStar 190 with the "base" 240 HP motor, he saw nearly exactly the same hole shot and WOT speed and RPMs (which surprised me).
On my boat, a 1987 ProStar 190 with a GT-40 (285 HP) motor, the 541 (13x12 3B) stomped the 4Force. Hole shot was nearly identical (5.3 Seconds to 30 MPH), but top end was 1.5 MPH faster (45.7) at ~ 200 RPM lower (~ 4800 RPM). Vibration was reduced, and mid-range power was really improved.
In the end, I think I like the 475 (13x12.625 3B) a bit more (I still have both). The hole shot suffered a bit (mayb half a second), but the top end improved (46.1 MPH) and the WOT RPMs dropped to 4600, which is just where I wanted it.
I should add that we mostly barefoot (hence my desire for top speed) and wakeboard (which is why the loss of holeshot isn't quite as important to us). I should also mention that the manual reports the 1987 ProStar 190 weighs 2200 LBs (dry) making it quite a bit lighter than many newer hulls. And yeah, I imagine somewhat better fuel economy.
I also tried the 209 (13x12.5 4B), which was perhaps the smoothest and might prove to be the best wakeboard prop, but we lost too much on top (44 MPH) and hole shot (6+ seconds to 30 MPH (no skier)).
I'm going to spend some more time on the props this Wednesday and Sunday. I've already sold my 4Force. No way I'm going back.
It should be said that I did not test the OJ CNC prop.
Cheers,
Peter

I decided to go with the OJ 13x11.5 XMP,,,, very smooth, excellent hole shot, great wake, no rooster tail, absolutley no vibration, overall great prop....
