How long does MC keep replacement skins available? I've started getting some minor tearing at the stitching on the 197 rear storage compartment. Not bad enough to replace, but probably will only last another couple of years.

I would go ahead and get it on order. They just cut off 2002 skin orders - I missed it by a week and was told that they do not have any more fabric.

I have a 2000 and was told no longer available. It seems to me the older a boat the more they needs the skins.

I have the same problem with tearing on my horizontal surfaces in my MC 205. Since new skins are not available from the factory, I wonder if former MC employees or any other vendors make the skins. You know anything or have a good upholstery shop recommendation?

Check out this link (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showpost.php?p=103135&postcount=4). I just updated the FAQ section on skins.

Buy them now. Worst case scenario, you sell them later. I've had as many offers on my N.I.B. replacement skins as I've had on my boat. Contact info for the former MC employee who has done skins for several people on this forum in the link.

When it comes to ordering skins...You will need your HULL ID # along with a DIGITAL photo of the skins needed. 03 Skins are not a problem to get. I would suggest sooner than later. Makes a good wintertime project. If you are doing the sundeck skins on a 197 I would suggest
doing both at the same time

Check out my recent post under New Skins page 6 and 7. I have posted some pics of my recent upholstery job. The guys name is Dunkin Roberts in Suffield CT. He is a real craftsman. Feel free to call him and mention my name Michael Berkman. His number is 860-668-0641, or PM me if you have questions
