The past coupla days we've had...

2003 Rosenblum Base Camp Syrah $15.49 (wife loved)
2005 Di Majo Norante Sangiovese $9.99 (i like)
2004 Montevina Terra d'oro Zin ~$15 (both liked)

We don't usually drink much wine in the summer, especially reds, but I'm right in the middle of a red wine bender...picked up a case of "medium" reds last weekend. Anyway, wondering if anyone else has a libationary recommendationary thought.

I try to stay below the $15 mark.

I just got 4 cases of Charles Shaw Merlot, you can only get it at Trader Joe's, there is a long and very interesting story about this wine, it has won over 16 awards and is well below the 15 dollar mark. If you can get your hads on a bottle I would be interested in your review

I love Italian wines, therefore, tonight we will be drinking a 2001 Antinori P. Tignello "Brunello di Montalcino". I also love Copola and have pulled out a 1992 "Rubicon" that we will be drinking tomorrow for my wife's birthday. Ahhh... Love my Red Wines.......:)

I gave up the I.Q. raisers 14 yrs ago this month. So now I enjoy Ariel wines.(non alchoholic) Great Cab., Chard. etc. They won gold medals against the real wines.

Amything from St Emillion will be good. Great region and wine. Always chose it for the red if you are out for dinner.

Agree with you, I have had wines across the spectrum and this wine for the price is truly unbeatable. Nothing like getting a "fake wine snob" to try this and let them give you all this junk about why it is so good... then, (atleast here in MN) let them know that it is only $36... a case!!! ;)

We always have a case or two in the "cellar"!

Now there is a Southern boy that knows his wines! The only other "great one" you missed was Virginia Dare.
