That is pretty amazing, it looks authentic as well.

I read it in the paper the other day. there is some controversy as to whether or not its legitimate. intersting. I know somebody around here (dont know who) found an oar from a lifeboat from the Fitz back in the year it sank. it washed ashore here.

Looks authentic to me too, but its got the work "Duluth" painted ont eh back of it which raises suspicion. The Fitz home was Milwaukee, not Duluth. so there is some head scratching going on in the maritime community about whether its a hoax or not.

Looks like BS to me. After 32 years in the lake or on the shore I find it highly unlikely that the lifering would still be that red.

Actually I get a pretty fair amount. I got out 48 days in 2005, 49 in 2006. so thats not bad considering our climate.

I could see someone from Florida, Texas, Louisiana, etc... saying this, but INDIANA??? How much different do you really think our climate is???
You might get in a couple of weeks earlier than us in the spring, but the fall has to be about the same. My last day is always some time in October.

The main problem with the U.P is that it's so damn rough...

Indiana is big time different and 100 miles south even bigger! I can get deep into October on a regular basis and early April to begin. No spring fed here! All old bathwater and urine! Makes for warm water late and a nice thaw early!8p Go to southern Illinois and Indiana and you will find an even better climate. The UP might as well be Canada! Them big lakes warm slow and cool all the quicker!:D I could see someone from Florida, Texas, Louisiana, etc... saying this, but INDIANA??? How much different do you really think our climate is???

Hey guys I'm famous now (or at least in my own mind anyway) I made the lastest addition of Wakeboarding Magazine October 2007. Check out page 81, the picture of Andrew Adkinson and Aaron Rathy signing autographs, I am standing about three people back with a white t-shirt and hands on my hips, brown shorts. The pictures are from the Minnesota ProWakeboard Tour stop.

Now if I could only make the magazing because of my riding skills!!!:)
