Hi all,

We're moving to our almost 'perfect house' at the end of April. Perfect except it has a side entry two car garage which is 21' deep. We plan to add a third garage for our 99 PS205 soon but use the existing one in the interim. It looks like the boat will fit in a minimum of 20' 9" with the platform off and tongue folded. Has anyone squeezed their 205 in a space this small? Also, we have been checking out the 05 197's. I would be interested in knowing the length of this boat on the trailer with the platform on/off and swing away hitch in place and also folded.

thanks
Rob

Congrats on the new house!!

It sounds like if you can get the boat down to 20’9” you should just make it. When you build the third bay are you going “oversized” 26/28??

Hey, you have 3 inchs to spare, no problem! How about the width.

MasterCraft advertises the following aboutthe 197.
OVERALL LENGTH W/TRAILER
22'10' / 6.96M

OVERALL LENGTH W/PIVOT TONGUE FOLDED
21'1' / 6.43M

It dosent say if that includes the platform.

Mark - Thanks. I am planning to build 26' deep like the garage we have now :(

Powerslot - I think the 21'1 on a 197 is with the platform. The hull on the 197 is advertised as 19' 8" and maybe with the tongue folded and platform off it is close to hull length. So maybe 1' less than my 205. Width is tight...6" each side.

It's under 21ft. I have a 2003 and it squeeze it into a 21ft garage at one time.
03 and 05 are same length.
