Well as you guys all know, it is LSU for everything but basketball!!!! Hope both my schools do well. Duke has a little chance for the boys, but the LSU girls have a big shot!!!

As much as I love March Madness............I'm preparing myself to see The UC Bearcats self destruct in the first or second round like they always do.

It will be interesting to see if Illinois can do what Indiana did many years ago.
undefeated season all the way through the NCAA Final.

Speaking of Indiana, did you see that Michigan State game. Can anyone say "over rated." I was at the game. Best basketball game I've seen in 10 years. I'm bringing out the flag for this one.

how is Texas doing this year??

Texas's record is (19-8, 8-6 Big 12)

Texas is not ranked in the most recent Associated Press poll (released Feb. 21) and not ranked in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll (released Feb. 21). Texas had been ranked among the AP Top 25 for a school-record 52 consecutive weeks (dating back to the final poll of the 2001-02 season) prior to falling out of the poll on Feb. 14. During the Barnes era, Texas has spent 80 weeks ranked in the AP poll's Top 25, including 25 in the Top 10.

My guess is that they'll hopefully get past the second round. That may be a bit optimistic though.

The win over Duke should get them in. They are .500 in conference play and it is the best conference in the country!

Hey Smitty, Is State overated or did they come out flat and Indiana played like they had to....for their Tourney lives. Personally I didn't mind the loss as State already locked up a trip to the dance, IU needed the win, 4 teams from the Big Ten might make it in, and I would rather be a 3 seed than the infamous 2 Seed. It was a good game regardless of the outcome.

I tried getting a Madness pool together last year with no interest....how about this year?

I will admit that IU was playing for their lives. Not only is the team sitting on the tournament bubble, but so is Mike Davis. Not many people at IU are happy with the outcome of this season. With the talent that he has, they should've been able to lock up the #2 spot in the conference. Embarrassing losses to N.C., UCONN, Kentucky, W. Ill, and Northwestern (all in a row) have put the team on edge. Michigan State came out pumped but started the game flat. IU was up 10 half way thru the first half. Second half, State was on fire. Brown was just unstoppable. IU just wanted it more. Let's talk more about that pool when the we get closer.

Illinios, Kansas, and Kentucky all go down. On a weird note, OU is somehow Big 12 regular season champs. :eek3: Whodathunkit? :D

On an even weirder note, My alma matter is UOP. I heard on the radio today that they are on like a 17 game win streak, ranked 17 in the nation and swept their league season.... How the he!! does that happen with a team that only won 3 games in my tenure at the school?
