Has anyone else had trouble with their MasterCraft trailer guide covers? Mine have been a real disappointment. If the boat's rub rail touches the cover's lettering it rubs off on to the rub rail. It is REALLY hard to get off the rub rail! Also the foam inside seems to crush and is permanently indented. These things are less than a year old. Did I get a set from a bad lot or are they all like this?

The foam crushing is common. Go to lowes and get some pipe insullation to replace it. Mine are a little rubbed, but it has not come off on the boat.

One rub last summer and mine was permanetly crushed. Wasn't on the lettering, but it's just a matter of time I guess. My wife puts the boat on the trailer and uses the guide poles as if they were pinball bumpers... :o

 The stitching on the covers is always failing on mine.....went through two sets of covers last year.

Same here with mine. The lettering also rubs off onto the rub rails. Acetone works great with taking it off. Just remember to apply a little 303 afterwards to keep the acetone from drying them out.
