My new X-30 tower has quite a bit of shake. I think the 4 speakers/lights and 4 boards make it a bit top heavy. I saw some pic of the new '08 brace that comes with the boat (I think it comes stock, but is an optional install). Anyone know if it will work on the '07s?

Mine does too, 07 tower. Have to keep it tightened at the front isolation mount.. The spanner ring. I think it is a weak design, even though it looks great. The brace pretty much proves that they recognize the problem. I will be looking into it. Thanks for posting it

rstitson,
Have you got a special tool for the isolation ring?

I believe they exist but I am currently using the end a old tool I found downstairs. I have been told in another post that I could buy a spanner wrench to fit. I also had to make sure the set screws where deep enough as otherwise it just spun around. I was also told that you didn't want to tighten the set screws much, but in my case they had backed out too much

I have the same issue. I have a set sitting at my buddy's house at the lake for my '07. He has a set on his '07 X-2, so they must work with the 2007 models.

You know, I was looking for something to add to my tower to make it just a bit heavier anyway. I need a better workout when I fold it before parking in the garage. :D

I called my dealer, you can get the braces for 07's with the zero flex tower. I was quoted a price of $313.00 for a set of braces

my question is why should we have to pay, if they did not produce the tower better enough.
