Engine Trouble

I have a 1994 Prostar 205 and I am having some engine trouble at top end. Anytime I get above 35mph my engine will start cutting out. During this I can also smell fuel. It is not the impellor, I have replaced that and my temp gauge is at about 160 degrees. I have also replace the spark plugs and fuel filter.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter. That is the first thing I would check.

I just put in a new filter.

Did you check the filter screen in the tank?

I pulled out fuel line in the tank and there is not a screen at the bottom of the line. Hopefully I am looking at the right thing.
