Look what landed in my backyard tonight!! Picture is a little fuzzy, but I was zoomed in from 40-50 yards away.

Too cool, this is a great pic Scott, I got almost this close to one on the White River last summer, he was up about 20 feet in a tree, looked down at me, pooped , then flew away... Was he trying to tell me something? It had to be a great experience for you, I know it was for me....

Very cool. Is it nesting somewhere near your house?

I see Bald Eagles in the fall at Table Rock Lake in SW Missouri! They are breathtaking to see and HUGE!!! What an amazing bird! Its no wonder it was chosen as our national bird!

I don't know Sue, this is the first time I have ever seen it! I hope he comes back for a visit!

He will come back if you entice him....try baiting the area you saw him with natural food for his habitat, dead fish and parts, shrimp, or whatever... keep an eye out after you do this and he will be back....
I look forward to more pictures soon...

Bet it can kick Harold II' arse!

In all seriousness, I'd love to see that in person.

I glad to see more in upper lower Michigan. Good to see them at the cabin up in the Irons area. Now if they'd only move a little farther south!!(kazoo area)

Cool. We now have nesting eagles in central IL. I also saw at least 3 down by St. Louis just last week. It used to be we would see them in the winter, but now you can spot them all year. Many more in the winter though.
