Last night I was feeling really good and Rick had figured out a way to put my oxygen in the boat so it was secure and wasn't in the way. The sun was pretty, the water was calm, and there weren't many boats on the water. We were all smiles and ready for a fun time.

Kim decides to drop a ski for the first time ever. She falls, we go to emergency room, her knee is swollen, they think she tore cartilage under her knee cap. She is feeling rotten today. :(

Yep, that's what I say, go figure. I'm sure she will be fine soon enough. It's just not fun now.

One thing that is kind of funny is when we got to the emergency room someone looked at me and started bringing me a wheelchair. I told them I'm fine it's the person sitting in the truck... we all got a strange look. We still had the boat on the back of the truck. I stayed with Kim while Rick and Ben took the boat home.

I know a good doctor!

I'm sure you do! I'll bet the one you know would be a bit of a drive to go see for office visits.

Sounds like my weekend.

A few weeks ago a storm planted a tree on top of our boathouse. Me and the boys (twin 11 year olds) went down to do the last bit of repair and get them in some wakeboarding. About an hour into the repair I realized that I had caught my forearm on the metal roof and was bleeding (or should I say squirting). Half inch cut - right through a vein. Three hours later we were leaving the emergency room with a few stitches in my arm.

It all ended well when we finished the roof and then spent about an hour on the water.
