Concentration and tentative enjoyment....
Ahh yes, seen it as well as experienced it. The first time you learn to do something new on the water you go from..... concentrating hard to less cautious to confident to celebration to a face plant....all in a mere matter of seconds :D

On the Soul video it shows a segment on Paul McDonald going from knee Ski to stand up. He "just" leans over and brings one leg around out front, and stands up on one. Pretty amazing. Never tried to knee ski but I heard the falls are "like none other". Ouchhhhhh.

Now teach him to do it without the goofy gloves!FYI, those 'goofey gloves' are my wife's ;)
Don't let her hear you call 'em goofy, those are her favorite pair.

I'm definitely not a 'footer', but have a few friends that are pretty good. One of them sent me a link to this video. All I can say is "WOW"! This guy is good. I've never heard of him (Andre De Villiers), but I would imagine for those of you in the know, he's probably a very well-known name. It's about 5 minutes long.
Way cool!

You start out on the knees leaning way back on the five foot rope. Really, you're skiing in your shins/ankle. If you knee does happen to catch, its all over. Full frontal body/head packer. Theres no time to tuck and roll like you do when you're on your feet.
