Looks interesting, never seen it done, can you explain what it is? Does the binding swivel?

Swivel ski is a wide flat bottom ski with a binding that is able to swivel or pivot in either a 180 or 360 degree arc. The swivelers do tricks that involve turning around on the ski wnd holding the rope in difernt positions. Example behind back, between legs, or overhead. Much harder than it looks.

That is cool. Looks very difficult too. That girl has got skills! Congrats Dad.
Skill and lots of practice. We were out for 4 hours today, 45 min was swivel practice (tries a dads paitence).
She started when she was 13 and has come a long ways. Thanks to a good coach. (not me)

Andre here it is.
Thanks!
Do you have to push the white button so it will swivel?
I'll stick to slalom...

Button has three positions, locked, one to stop at 180 degree turn, and all the way up for 360 degree turns.
My son who foots, jumps, ect and skies 22 off in the course (first year trying course skiing) tried yesterday lost his bet.

She looks good on the swivel....until that last picture! I can only imagine how hard that must be on one leg.

When I was skiing at Sea World San Diego, we had a guy that transferred to SW Ohio. The guys had to swivel in next to a girl and do toe turns. It was a twist routine. I drove for this guy when he went out to learn. Girls piled into the boat to laugh at him. I told them that they may not want to laugh so early. First set he made toe turns, hand to hand 360's and overheads both ways. The girls were pissed!

There are a few guys with the talent.
I'm not one of them. I tried it once behind a smoker in Japan. Just tried to throw overheads. I was close but only took one set and was close.

This is one act that my son Ben is in on our shows that he rolls his eyes and complains about. They call it "swivel doubles" He calls it "the training wheels act". These are some of our newer swivel girls and they do their act holding the hand of a guy. Ben say his job is just to smile and keep the girl from falling. It really looks nice enough in a show because it looks like they are dancing. I think a show would be dull after a while if everything was just jumping and footing.
Ben much prefers the parts of the show where he can foot, jump, do doubles or a pyramid.

Jumping is my favorite part of shows and it's my favortie thing to take pictures of, but there aren't enough good jumpers around here to make a whole show!
