Hello all,
I new to the forum but a long time owner 1987 prostar since 87.
My question is does anyone offer a replacement to the orginal instrument cluster? Mine has a very rough appearance and I'd like to replace it. A used one off a later year boat post 87 probably would work.
Any help?
Thanks

are you looking for the instruments themselves or just the panel?

I,m in need of the actual panel the gauges fit into.
I have the gauges. If someone has a panel with gauges then that would be ok.

Wow that is a nice dash with all gauges. Obviously from a 95-97 vintage 190.

Brain, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Does it hurt to have a spare? Don't run the price up on me (grin)!

I thought about it but the gauges don't match. They are the earlier 95-96 gauges. Mine have the blue star logo on them.

Good luck finding one to fit an 87'. Alternatively, I have seen people have Line-x or Rhino liner sprayed onto the rubber/plastic and it looks very clean and professional. It covers all the cracks, nicks, etc. Additionally, it is very durable and water proof. Just a thought.

When I got my 01 x-star the panels were bubbling and rough also.
So I made new ones! took me all winter to get them right.
Used an African rain forest wood called Jatooba.(spelling?) The
throttle knob wasn't to my liking either so I made that also (same wood )but two tone! Made brass X's and inlaid them into the spar
urethane coating. coating is about quarter inch thick! wet sanded in between layers. real deep luster to it, turned out real nice.
