Does anyone have any information as to whether or not the following replacement rudder will fit properly on my 2002 X-7:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120143195947&rd=1,1

If it will, that would be great. This rudder visually looks MUCH nicer than the unit currently on the boat. Although, maybe I am being a bit too anal on a item that really will only be seen when the boat is on the trailer. Will a unit like the above help performance any?

That is a MasterCraft by Design Polished S/S rudder and rudder port. MC started using them on the 2003 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 190/197 boats and made it a option to have installed when a boat is built or as a aftermarket replacement item.
What shape is your existing rudder. If your existing rudder is the round/duckbill style, this rudder may hinder the turning performance on a X-7. But, who knows?
