I have a 2001 - 209 with a paddle wheel for the speed pick-up.

1. How do I calibrate the speedo's - do I have to use GPS or is there another way to do this? If I don't have access to GPS, can I get pretty close matching up a certain RPM to speed?

2. Something I have always wondered is - I know this is a tournament boat, but why the two speedo's when I only have one pickup - unlike the old air pick ups on my old boat?

gps is the most accurate way to go.

You can time it over a fixed known distance, like a slalom course, or you can use a GPS. You could also use a radar gun, but that would require a second person with a walkie-talkie, and I suspect that most people would find it easier to lay hands on a GPS than a radar gun.

As to two speedometer gauges, my guess is that the second one is where the Perfect Pass display is supposed to be.
