Is the dark color Blue or Black?
If it's Blue, trickskier may steal your boat and turn it into a Florida Gator boat!

No, it's black and Orange......now all he needs to do is take off that big "X" off the side and put on a nice big orange and black stripped "B".....just like my avatar!!!! :D

Nice boat by the way. I know I am biased a little, but the color combo looks good.

Very nice! I'm sure you'll be really happy with it!

What was your last V-drive? Not a MC?

(Hey if you ever open your own "Hooters", you can write off the boat as advertising!) :D

no. it was produced very close to where mc's are built . it was a good boat, but ever since i was a kid i always dreamed of someday owning a mastercraft. (my dad owned a 76 mastercraft.

Great boat !

Congratulations on the choice of colors, we saw an orange X2 on the week-end and it looked fantastic.

You done good! I think everyone should "earn" their way to owning a Mastercraft. Some young lads who own MC's don't appreciate them like we do! (and they don't take care of them which really chaps my a$$)

oh yes, i had to earn my way to the mastercraft. yeah with no more alimony...:D

dumb question, but don't mastercraft's come standard with a fire estinguisher?

MC is the first boat that I have owned. I hope the old sea ray my parents had and working at my old camp with CC and Boston Whalers has "earned" me my way

No...although my dealer installed one before I took the boat home that met this state's boating laws. They're pretty cheap and simple - $20 and 5 minutes with a cordless screwdriver mounting the bracket to the driver's kick panel. The dealer did that for me as part of a variety of little things they included in the price of the boat, like a Cipa ski-mirror, ropes, bumpers, life-vests, and bucket-loads of cleaning products.

My previous boat, Century I/O, had a FireBoy on-board suppression (http://www.fireboy-xintex.com/)unit mounted in the engine compartment. It meets USCG and state requirements, but always confused the DNR or sheriff if they pulled me over for a safety check. They seem to prefer it if you can actually hand them a fire extinguisher they can look at rather than climbing into your boat and inspect the built-in system that they're not familiar with. It was trouble-free for 10 years, and I did take some comfort knowing that if there was an engine compartment fire, I wouldn't have to chance lifting the engine compartment pad (risking more oxygen to the fire and getting burned) to bring my fire extinguisher into play. I thought the on-board system was a great idea. It seems to me that a major fire like that, the most prudent thing would be to abandon the boar rather than actually stay in there trying to put it out. I'm thinking that I may put a FireBoy into this MasterCraft as well, but I haven't found a good mounting solution yet.

bigmac, that just really surprised me when i started looking around. thank goodness i had a extra marine one at my storage place i was able to throw in there in case the lake patrol wanted to take a look...

my last 2 inboards came with one from the factory and they showed it's position in the owner's manual.
