Have a 94' PS 190 EFI. Starts right up when cold. If skiing or WB for the day very sluggish to start as the day goes on. Usually requires a little throttle to get it turned over then runs fine. No idling or speed problems. Think this is a fuel filter problem?

Thanks!

Do you mean that you have to pump the throttle or open it? If you need to pump it, you may have a vapor lock issue but if you need to open it, the carb may be dripping gas into the intake and more air is what's getting it to start.

Pump or just give it a light tap solves the problem.

My 1994 Prostar 205 with the EFI had the same issue, and the dealer removed the water/fuel separator, and installed a clear plastic filter back by the tank, and no more hard starts.

By the way, Andre, I have not had time to try your sensor disconnection suggestion. Hope to soon.
