Tonight I brought Sue to the ER with some pretty severe neurological problems. They decided to keep her overnight for more tests. Please keep Sue and I in your prayers that the doctors can determine the cause of her problems.

Well this morning the doctors ordered up some tests and so far we are waiting results. Hopefully we'll know more when we get those back.

Sue is comfortable but tired right now. She has been told it may be another day yet before they release her.

Thank you for your notes and encouragement. I have shared them with Sue and it cheers her up.

More tests...more waiting. Sue was bored so she made me bring a camera to the hospital room.

She said this picture is the closest she could get to taking a picture of someone barefootin' at the hospital :D

Also watched the Tigers lose big time to KC. Even they could not bring relief from the boredom.

MRI tests coming up tonight...probably between 1am and 3am we are told.

Thanks again for your comments. Sue wishes she had internet access in her room so she could enjoy TeamTalk.

Tim - Sue says it was a bad omen buying that teak bunny. It must be attracting the plant eating rabbit.

Maybe there's some recipe on the web for bunny wraps made with hosta leaves. If it's a really creative recipe there might be some kind of garnish made of chocolate covered cicadas. :D (Just kidding -- that would be kinda nasty.)

Take care.

That sucks about no wireless internet. When I make rounds these days, I not only have to deal with my patients' medical problems, I now also find myself troubleshooting their wireless internet connection problems and explaining their in-room movie menu. It's a whole different way of practicing medicine.

Get well, Sue. Keep your eyes closed in the MRI machine...it makes the exam go quicker.

Sue get well soon and get back here! We miss ya here, dontchano!! You will be in our thoughts and prayers. :wavey:

side note: I have a project for you while bored in the hospital. Louie Anderson says the only thiing to keep you occupied in the hospital is to look for stuff to take home with you. see how much kleenix, gauze pads, rubber gloves, cotton balls, q tips, band-aids, and pillow cases you can smuggle out of there;) 8p they dont track that stuff and dont charge you for it individually, so find all that extra kleenix and line your pockets8p . you know they are hiding it somewhere. When my uncle was in the hospital, he got bored so he started roaming the hospital, just exploring. the nurses said he found storage rooms that they didnt even know where there.

seriously now, get well soon.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick brought my computer to me. :headbang::banana:

I've been trying to convince the people here at the hospital that a decent hemoglobin level and adequate oxygen is overated. I neeed to get to the Thornapple River this afternoon. My camera is ready and batteries are charged (I made sure Rick did that when he got home yesterday).

Maybe things will change before 4:00 :o

You know it's kinda funny you tell your kids don't take drugs and mess with needles... I think they forgot to teach that to the peopel at the hospital. Hands, arms, stomach... they seem to find all kinds of places to poke you and stick more drugs in. By the way, its now wonder I'm anmeic and misssing things that are supposed to be in my blood... they keep taking it from me. :D

Well, I'm hoping they let me leave. Nice hearing from all of you.

By the way bigmac, they gave me lots of drugs and I had blinds for my eyes and ear plugs to wear when getting the MRI. I don't think they wanted me doing some kind of myoclonic dance in there. I stayed nice and still.

tex
07-21-2007, 01:15 PM
You are just a yank, pull, and untie from busting the joint! You can run faster naked with a camera around your neck! Plus, when you get to the show, you won't have any problem getting people to look in the camera's direction!

Leroy
07-21-2007, 01:27 PM
Hey Sue, are you using wireless from the hospital? I was in the hospital once and had 3 IV's going for most of 6 days, I know they are no fun.

suedv
07-21-2007, 01:39 PM
yep, i'm on wireless. I'm on IV stuff, oxygen, and drugs that make me tired because they're supposed to keep my nervous system calmer. I've had a B12 injection and potassium pills to try to help my anemia... I don't know half of the rest of what I'm taking.

Ric
