I have a birthday comming up and my wife keeps asking me what I want for my birthday. I have told her a couple of things, but she says that they are too specific and if I want it, then I'll probably just go out and buy it myself. I've asked for tower speakers, but they are too expensive. I need suggestions on anything out there that is a reasonable price and that she could go and pick out so that she feels like she is suprising me with whatever she gets me. Never thought it would be this hard to come up with suggestion for my birthday, but my head is starting to hurt thinking about it.

I have the same problem.. When my wife asks me what I want and I tell her she says the exact same thing. "Too specific" or "No I don't want to get you something like THAT for your b-day"... Why ask then???

I have no idea what you need......

I know you aren't going to know what I need, just tell me what you would like to get, that way I can maybe steal someone's idea and use it.

* GPS
* "less expensive" digital camera (so the expensive one doesn't have to go out in the boat)
* 18v cordless drill, Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch
* BBQ grill
* Smoker
* Ridgid shop vac from Home Depot
* Pressure washer
* Big Green Egg
*110v wire feed welder (very handy)

I don't know anything about speaker cans, but if you are trying to put speakers on your tower and do it on a small budget, just have her get you the cans and you can buy whatever speaker you want to go in them.

Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. Okay, let's get two! Go get 'em.

All great ideas, I don't know about the candlesticks though, not exactly what I'm going for Tex. This is really helping, I think that all these ideas kind of jumpstarted my brain.

I really like the platform lights, pretty sure she'd trump that one though as not being "functional".
The word functional in this sence means that she doesn't want them. Or at least that would be my best guess.

Ski lesson.
I love those LED's and they are in my backyard.
Tickets to game or concert.
Sky Ski
Golf Lesson
Expensive bottle of your favorite brand.

I love to give gifts and feel that one of the best gifts to give is something that the person wants but would never buy. Happy Birthday!

No reason for a birthday gift to be fuctional. :noface: Im guessing she dosen't want some orange glow and a new swiffer mop for her birthday. :D Talk her into a midnight cruise with the b-day boy like this.

1. I'm not sure what its called, but I got one that twist and locks and has a hook on the end. Its stored under the seat, but I use it more than I thought. Pulling up beside someone, or use it to push out in shallow water, reach out to hook the dock.
