I am surprised to see so many LFF. Seems like most people I ski with are RFF, me being the exception. Now to make it more complicated, for those who ski and ride, I wonder what the dominant wakeboard position would be relative to your skiing preference. Skiing, I'm LFF, but riding I prefer RFF. Mag Red, care to do a poll on that? (I don't know how to do one).

I have always used the method of gently pushing someone from behind to see what their natural foot is. That is supposed to determine your lead foot from what I have been told. I dont know if thats correct or not, but it is so for everyone I have tried it on. I ski LFF and kick left footed too. :twocents:

I'm right handed and LFF, like most it seems. The real question is which hand up? For the longest time I was left hand up, but a local expert told me to switch a while back, and I think having my right hand up does help my off side turn. Hmmm . . . maybe I should try to start one of these poll things! A quick search doesn't appear to show this being discussed, anyone know if it has?

The "correct" way (as if there were such a thing) is RFF Right palm down. LFF left palm down.

I've known better skiers than me not do it this way though.

Yep, I've paid closer attention to this after I was told it, and almost all the pros follow it as well. Hmmm, I have the same boat, same ski, same stance, same grip, I keep eliminating excuses for why I can't ski as well as the pros! :D

I am right handed and left foot forward. As a child I could write with both hands but mom made me pick one.

I actually enjoy helping first time boarders/skiers find out which foot is forward by giving them a good stiff shove. :D It's especially fun when you are in the middle of talking to them about which foot should be forward. I will never forget finding out which foot went in front on the waterski!

RH & RFF, which means I'm goofy? Atleast I do Left Palm Up (which I had to learn to do, used to be right palm up), which is correct for being RFF I believe. When barefooting, I'm much more stable on my left foot (back foot of slalom) and also wakeboard RFF, which is goofy as well.

depends on what I ate for breakfast, makes learning anything new hard
left eye dominant, left or right hand dominant depends on what, lead off with left foot unless walking a beam, left foot in back skiing, right foot back wakeboard.
