What do you guys use to clean carpet. Mine is starting to get that wet mildew smell.

you probably won't like this - but I use a pressure washer, then a good shop-vac to suck everything that got losened by the pressure washer up.

I do this about once a year. Amazing how much it brings the carpet back to life.

I'm pretty sure it's not good for the carpet though... but it is what I do & never have any mildew problems.

Jimmer: I do the same thing. After the shop-vac, I put several fans in the boat to fully dry it. Why do you think it's not good for the carpet?

Same for me. I have 2 ceiling fans in the garage over the boat for turbo drying.

A little sunshine and a little breeze! ;)

Make sure you leave openings to all carpet areas. Bleach and vinegar are good home cleaning solutions. Go easy on the bleach and test for color.

I'm afraid that that 2400 PSI will eventually cause the carpet to start falling apart. So far - I haven't had any problems though.:D

I always shop vac the wet spots, the carpets usuallly dry by the next afternoon (not hard when the boats in a garage and it's 100 outside)

We use the shop vac and woolite carpet cleaner with oxyclean.
Works pretty good
