My mom, age 52, decided to try wakeboarding tonight after a slalom run. She tried twice with her board straight out, couldn't do it. Finally she turned her board all the way and said hit it. She made it up went around the lake 2 times. After slaloming all her life, I knew she could do it. I am one proud son, congrats mom.:)

My mom took up banjo at 52.. She plays in a pretty darn good bluegrass band at age 59. "In Cahooz". Moms are good people,,

Mom has the crackpipe in her mouth. She will have her board shorts sagging and bi!tching about your double up driving before you know it!

That's awesome! Congrats!

Did the same with mine a few years back. She faceplanted, but got back up again to ride around quite a long time.

My remaining goal is to get my dad wakesurfing. My brother bought him a real surf board years ago and a desire of his is to use it at least once. He has a bad back, so 'boarding I wouldn't want him to do...but surfing is low impact enough.

Congrats again! I see people of all ages wakeboarding nowadays.

Take care,
Paul

FWIW your never too old.

I know a guy with an X-star who shall remain nameless who does inverts, 360's and wake to wake stuff all the time. He makes me look like a novice and he's 50!!!
