I was just wondering how many of us out there are Masons. I actually get my 3rd degree this Thursday, then the name is correct. I know there are at least a couple of others out there.

Did you see the movie "National Treasure" with Nicholas Cage?
there's a ton of reference to Masons in that movie!:headbang:
btw guys,
our local Masonic Lodge helps out our summer ball teams by matching funds from our fundraisers....so we kinda double our money in a lot of cases.

yes I saw it, lots of references, which were good, but the plot was compleately fictional..

yes, it was fictional, but I liked the idea of keeping the idea of Masons in the minds of the younger generation. especially the positive idea, instead of negative ones:)

yes thats true, much better representation than the way it was presented in From Hell.
My grandfather was a mason, and hence my knowledge and interest. Of course it took me over 10 years after he died before I found the oppurtunity to join, but my older boy put in his petition right after I received my first degree, so that was kind of cool.

my grandfather is a mason...my grandmother is in the womens organization similar to the masons.......i dont know much about it tho. :confused:

if you want to make an old man happy just ask him about it.... Don't even know him and I bet his eyes will light up if you ask him about it
