I've got a '92 Prostar 205 with the 4010 carb (285 hp) and a stock prop and it gets between 45 and 48 mph, depending on how many people are in the boat. I'm not much above sea level here in Louisiana.

Just wondering if this was on par, I know these boats aren't made for speed, just seems like it should have a little more power up top.

I think you are doing pretty well at those speeds. I believe Pendo started a thread in which everyone listed boat specs and top speed.

Thanks for the link and the info, just wanted to check to make sure. It pulls me out of the hole just fine, and thats all I really care about.

Stock settings should get you 46 mph at 4,600 rpm. I think I'm getting about 45.5 on the GPS. How are you measuring speed? 48 mph is pretty high.
