I used them for a couple of months. The comfort and control was top notch. But I had a few falls when they didn't release and the stress on my ankles made me think they should have. I sold them and bought Wiley's boots and have never looked back.

I have them right now and I do like them even though they might exceed my needs. The comfort in them is great, a lot better than my wakeboard bindings.

Are the Wileys stiff enough for ya? The just do not look like they have that much support, but I have never tried them...

I had them on my Monza, but I felt they did not release when they should. The Approaches never relesed from my feet during a crash. Some guys told me it was better to not have the ski release, but my body feels differently. I have used Animals for years now, and I guess I am used to releasing from the ski when I am flying uncontrollably across the water. I just traded the ski shop my approaches down to a new pair of Animals... and took my first fall over the weekend... came right out like I like, plus I am used to the support they give me. Just my opinion, though.

They have varying levels of stiffness. Mine are the "pro build," which is one level less stiff than the trick wrap. The customer support is excellent. My wife has some, too, and had some sizing problems. They resized her front boot to get it just right.

I switched from Animals to the Approach and have found the comfort much better and they were much more secure. One of the downsides of my Animals was that I didn't feel like I got good life from them. I had to replace the overlays nearly every year. As far as pulling out of them, I am one who doesn't want to come out of the bindings. I have taken some nasty falls and I am comforted to know that I won't come out and have the ski hit me some how.

I have Approach bindings and love them. When I fall they don't come off, and thats how I want it. My foot is a 10.5 and I'm in a medium and I should be in a large but I like them to be tight.:D Here is a pair that is on eBay right now

I have them on my monza and like them. Since they do NOT release, my ankles have really been taking a beating lately. In hindsight, I might have gone with hardshells.

Had approach on my Monza, like others say they won't come off easy. I broke my ankle two years ago skiing (not w/ the approach). Went to animals and feel not as "glued to the ski, but still good control and I do come out only in a hard crash. I like that a little better, for what it is worth.

I have Approach's and Animals. I tweaked my ankle in the Approach boots. so I thought I'd try Animals. I feel they both give very good support. With the Animals it takes me about 15seconds to get into. With the Approach bindings it took me about 4 times longer. My feet get more fatigued in the Approach's and they have cramped up on me in long sets. For now I'm skiing the Animals and feel to have very good control over the ski. They are also a LOT lighter than the Approach boots. Find a pair to try and give them a few weeks and see what feels better to you. That's all you can do is try them out to see what works and feels best for you!
