I need new bumper guards for the "V" at the front of my trailer. I have read about boat buddy here...can you replace the two pieces in the V with that? If yes where can you get them? Any other ideas?

Update...found the boat buddy...my trailer has metal V bow stop...will the boat buddy fit?

Pictures would help, but I think the answer is no.. The boat buddy is a locking device that is level with the bow eye. The V in the front of the trailer rests farther down the skeg. TMC#1 has the design to have the BB added to the trailer, but the new pieces will have to be added via welding. Am I correct assuming your trailer has a swing arm that locks the front bow eye in place??

Any weld shop should be able to fabricate it no problem..

thanks...you are right, the V is below the bow eye...guess I'll just recover them with carpet. that buddy thing seems nice though...

I have one that I've yet to install. I have to get the addition to the trailer welded. Probably this winter:o

I'm 21 miles or so from you. Anytime you want, I'll show you what you need and give you a copy of theBoat Buddy MC retrofit dimensions for your trailer.

Thanks! I didn't know you were so close! Are you in GSO? For now I am going to recover the V blocks with outdoor carpet. I trailer every time I use the boat so that buddy thing will look better and better to me as time goes on....one more round with carpet for now.

Put some padding inbetween your block and carpet.

Got a suggestion for padding that will take carpet glue?

I did 2 extra layers of carpet...glue and staples.

Walkertown, Northwest between Winston and Kernersville. 2 miles off Business I-40.

Glue and staple 1st layer onto blocks, then staple the 2nd layer over the 1st layer.

You can always try this padding!
