I'm looking at a 07 model with less than 20 hours on the boat and the dealer quoted me a price of $650 to transfer all of the warranties (MC, Indmar). Does this sound like the right price? I did a search but couldn't find any threads with recent price quotes.
Unless the manufacturer is just trying to make extra bucks I don't see why it would cost so much to transfer the warranty to a new owner.

Is the boat being sold as used? If it is I know that it is $500 for the MC warranty transfer.

Warranty Transfer
2007 MasterCraft Owners Manual - Page 21-1
For the fi rst purchase of a specifi c MasterCraft boat, the original
owner will receive a warranty registration card to complete and
turn in. You should be aware that under federal law, completion of the
warranty card is a requirement and should be completed as follows:
1. Dealer must complete the warranty registration at date of sale.
2. Dealer must secure buyer’s signature!
3. Dealer provides a copy to the buyer, retains a copy for dealership
fi les and forwards the remaining copy to MasterCraft.
4. Information must be mailed to the manufacturer within three (3) days
of the sale.
If the MasterCraft boat is subsequently sold, MasterCraft offers a transferable
warranty to the second owner. In accordance with the Master-
Craft Limited Warranty, the remaining warranty against structural defect
in the hull and deck will be transferred to the new owner when the following
has been accomplished and verified:
• Receipt of the completed form below.
• Copy of the sales invoice.
• Payment of $450 within fourteen (14) days of the sale date.
Upon verifi cation, the remaining warranty will transfer, retroactive to
the sale date.

So that's the $450 - to transfer the Lifetime Hull Warranty. The other $200 is to transfer the rest of the Indmar 3 year engine warranty, as spelled out in the Indmar Owner's Manual (downloadable from their web site). Sounds like your dealer is doing a good job for you, and charging you only what MasterCraft and Indmar charge.
